How MuzMarket uses cookies and similar technologies on muzmarket.com and our mobile apps. Plain-English inventory and your choices.
How MuzMarket uses cookies and similar technologies, what each one does, and how to control them.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember you between page loads, keep you signed in, hold the items in your bag, and measure how the site is used. Some cookies are set by MuzMarket directly ("first-party cookies"); others are set by services we use ("third-party cookies"), for example Stripe for payments.
This policy also covers similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixel-based trackers — which work the same way for these purposes.
2. Why we use them
We use cookies for four reasons:
To make the Platform work (sign in, shopping bag, booking session, security checks).
To remember your preferences (region, language, recently viewed).
To understand how the Platform is used, so we can improve it.
To measure marketing performance — only if you give consent.
3. Your choices
When you first visit MuzMarket you see a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, accept essential only, or open settings to choose by category. You can change your mind at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or by clearing cookies through your browser. Disabling essential cookies will stop the Platform from working.
We respect "Do Not Track" signals where technically possible.
4. Cookie inventory
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies set when you use muzmarket.com. Names may vary slightly as our providers update their software — categories and purposes do not.
Essential — always on

5. Local storage and similar technologies
Some browser-side state lives in localStorage or sessionStorage rather than cookies. These are functionally equivalent to cookies and follow the same consent rules. Typical entries include the cart contents (muz_cart_v2), recently viewed product IDs, and your accepted cookie preferences.
6. Third-party cookies set by embedded content
When a page embeds third-party content (for example a YouTube video on a blog post, a Stripe-hosted card form at checkout, or a Google Maps preview), that provider may set its own cookies on the embed. We choose providers that are GDPR-compliant. You can find their policies here:
The MuzMarket mobile apps don't use HTTP cookies directly, but they store equivalent state on your device for sign-in, cart, and booking sessions. The same consent choices apply — analytics and marketing trackers are off by default and respect your privacy choices.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will publish a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, surface a notice on the Platform.
9. Contact
If you have questions about how we use cookies, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
