Terms and Conditions for using MuzMarket — covering products, services and bookings, payments, vendor and provider obligations, and dispute resolution.
Please read these terms carefully before using MuzMarket.com. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and MuzMarket.
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MuzMarket.com, our mobile apps, or any related service (together, "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific features. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
MuzMarket reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or through a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the change.
2. About the Platform
MuzMarket operates a halal-friendly marketplace that covers two types of listing:
Products sold by independent vendors and fulfilled by them directly.
Services booked with independent service providers — including at-home appointments (cleaning, hijama, beauty, trades), online sessions (tutoring, counselling), and on-premises visits (salons, clinics, studios).
MuzMarket is not a party to the contract between buyer and vendor, or between buyer and service provider. MuzMarket provides the platform infrastructure, payment processing (via Stripe), search and discovery, and dispute resolution. The contract for the sale of goods or the supply of services is between you and the relevant vendor or provider.
The Platform's framing is "halal-friendly" — the assurances we provide do not require users to be Muslim. Anyone over 18 may use MuzMarket as a buyer or sell as a vendor or provider, subject to these Terms and our Vendor Terms.
3. Account Registration
To buy products, book services, or sell on MuzMarket, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify MuzMarket immediately at of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach.
MuzMarket may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Vendor Terms, or applicable law.
4. Buyer Terms — Products
When you order a product on MuzMarket you agree to:
Pay the listed price plus any applicable shipping and taxes.
Provide accurate delivery details.
Acknowledge that products are supplied by independent vendors, not MuzMarket directly.
Comply with the vendor's published returns policy and our general Shipping & Returns framework.
Not misuse the review or rating system.
Contact the vendor before initiating a card chargeback. Chargebacks raised without first using the Get Support flow may result in account restrictions.
5. Buyer Terms — Service Bookings
When you book a service on MuzMarket you agree to:
Pay the displayed price, including any travel or add-on charges shown at checkout.
Provide accurate booking details (service address, attendee count, prep notes).
Accept the provider's cancellation policy, which is shown on the service listing and again before you pay. Each provider sets their own policy and it may be tiered — typically free to cancel well ahead of time, with a fee that increases the closer the cancellation is to the appointment (for example 25%, 50%, then 100%). Before you confirm any cancellation, MuzMarket shows you the exact fee and refund.
Free cancellation (within the provider's free window): full refund, including the platform Service fee.
Paid cancellation (later, where a fee applies): refund of the service price minus the provider's cancellation fee; in this case the platform Service fee is non-refundable.
No-show: treated as the latest tier and typically non-refundable.
If the provider cancels or cannot accept your booking: full refund, including the platform Service fee.
Authorise MuzMarket to place an authorisation hold on your card at the point of booking; the actual charge is taken only when the appointment is completed.
Communicate with the provider through MuzMarket messaging where possible, rather than sharing personal contact details.
Treat providers with respect — abusive or discriminatory behaviour is grounds for account suspension.
6. Vendor and Service-Provider Terms
Vendors and service providers are bound by the full Vendor Terms in addition to these general Terms. The Vendor Terms set out listing accuracy requirements, halal certification standards, fulfilment and booking obligations, insurance and DBS expectations (for services), prohibited conduct, and the fee model — a flat 6% commission plus Stripe card processing at cost, deducted from each completed sale or booking. By activating a vendor or provider account you accept the Vendor Terms.
7. Payments & Fees
All payments on MuzMarket are processed by Stripe. MuzMarket never sees or stores full card details.
Seller commission. MuzMarket charges vendors and providers a flat 6% commission on the price of each successfully fulfilled order or completed booking. There are no listing fees, monthly subscriptions, or tiered plans — every vendor and provider pays the same rate.
Card processing at cost. In addition to commission, the card payment processing fee charged by Stripe is deducted from the seller's payout at cost. MuzMarket does not mark up Stripe's fee. Stripe's UK rate is approximately 1.5% + 20p per transaction and is higher for overseas cards; the exact fee is set by Stripe.
A seller's payout is therefore the sale price, less the 6% commission and less the Stripe card processing fee, paid weekly via Stripe Express direct to the linked bank account once funds have cleared.
Buyer service fee. Buyers pay a small platform Service fee at checkout, shown on the order summary before payment. This fee helps MuzMarket run the platform (secure payments, support, and halal vetting). It is retained by MuzMarket and is not part of the seller's payout. For service bookings, the Service fee is refunded if you cancel for free or the provider cancels; it is non-refundable if you cancel late and a cancellation fee applies.
Refunds and processing fees. Where an order or booking is refunded, Stripe's card processing fee for the original payment is generally not returned to the seller by Stripe. That processing cost is non-refundable on refunds.
Changes. MuzMarket may change the commission rate, the Service fee, and how fees are applied, on reasonable prior notice.
Buyers and sellers are each responsible for any taxes applicable in their jurisdiction.
8. Gift Cards
MuzMarket offers two kinds of gift card. Both are issued and redeemed in a single currency (shown at purchase) and can only be spent in that currency.
MuzMarket gift cards (site-wide). Issued by MuzMarket and redeemable against any eligible vendor's products or any provider's services across the Platform. MuzMarket holds the value until it is redeemed.
Seller gift cards (store credit). Issued by an individual vendor or provider and redeemable only against that same seller's own listings. A seller gift card cannot be used in another shop, and if your basket contains items from more than one seller it cannot be applied. These cards are funded by the issuing seller.
The following terms apply to both kinds unless stated otherwise:
How to redeem. Enter the gift card code at checkout (for products) or when booking (for services). The balance is applied to your order total; if the order costs more than the card, you pay the difference by card, and if it costs less, the remaining balance stays on the card for next time. Gift cards do not cover amounts already paid and are applied before the card payment is taken.
Partial use. Gift cards may be used across multiple orders until the balance reaches zero.
No cash withdrawal. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are not a deposit, bank account, or e-money, except where you have a non-waivable legal right to a cash refund of a remaining balance (for example certain small residual balances in some jurisdictions).
Expiry. A gift card either does not expire or carries an expiry date shown clearly at the time of purchase. Where an expiry applies, the card remains valid for at least the minimum period required by the law of the purchaser's country, and never less than our platform minimum of 5 years from the date of issue. Some territories (for example several US states) prohibit expiry entirely, and in those territories the card will not expire. We will not shorten the validity of a card you have already bought.
Unredeemed balances. Subject to the expiry rules above and to applicable unclaimed-property law, any balance that is not redeemed before a card expires is retained by the issuer (MuzMarket for site-wide cards, or the seller for store-credit cards). Where the law of your territory requires unredeemed balances to be remitted to a public authority or refunded, we will comply with that law.
Refunds. Gift cards are generally non-refundable once purchased, except where you have a statutory right to a refund (for example under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or equivalent local law) or where the card was faulty or not received. If an order paid for with a gift card is cancelled or refunded, the refunded amount is normally returned to the gift card balance rather than to a bank card.
Lost, stolen, or unauthorised use. Treat a gift card code like cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen cards or codes, or for use by anyone who obtains the code, except to the extent we are required to be by law. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe a code has been used without your permission.
Fraud and misuse. MuzMarket may void a gift card, decline to honour a code, or reverse a redemption where we reasonably believe the card was obtained or used fraudulently, in breach of these Terms, or in connection with a payment that was reversed or charged back.
Seller gift cards and payouts. When a seller gift card is redeemed, its value is funded by the issuing seller and is netted from that seller's payout. Site-wide MuzMarket gift cards are funded by MuzMarket, and the seller is paid in full on the gross price of the items sold.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the MuzMarket Platform — including logos, designs, code, text, graphics, and software — is the property of MuzMarket or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Vendors and providers retain ownership of their listing content but grant MuzMarket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, copy, and promote that content as part of operating the Platform.
10. Prohibited Activities
Users of MuzMarket must not:
List or sell counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise illegal goods.
List or offer services that breach UK law or our halal-friendly framing.
Engage in fraudulent transactions or misleading business practices.
Attempt to circumvent MuzMarket's payment system or take bookings off-platform.
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
Use automated tools to scrape data or interfere with the Platform.
Market products or services that do not comply with halal standards while claiming they do.
11. Limitation of Liability
MuzMarket provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MuzMarket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to MuzMarket in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
For users outside the United Kingdom, local consumer protection laws may provide additional rights that cannot be waived by these Terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
13. Key operating facts (effective 8 July 2026)
The following facts apply across MuzMarket and prevail over any older wording elsewhere:
MuzMarket commission is a flat 6% of each completed sale or booking. There are no listing or monthly fees.
In addition, the Stripe card processing fee is deducted from the seller's payout at cost — MuzMarket does not mark it up. A seller's payout is the sale price less the 6% commission and less the Stripe processing fee.
Buyers pay a small platform Service fee at checkout, shown before payment. It is retained by MuzMarket and is not part of the seller payout.
Commission, the Service fee, and fee application may change on reasonable prior notice.
All payments are processed by Stripe. MuzMarket does not see or store payment card data.
Sellers and providers receive payouts via Stripe Express. Stripe Express onboarding (ID + bank details) is required before payouts can be made.
Each vendor manages their own shipping for products and sets their own rates, zones, and processing times.
Each vendor manages their own returns policy and publishes it on their store and listings.
Each service provider sets their own availability, service area, and travel charges.
Every vendor and provider is reviewed by MuzMarket and held to our halal standards on an ongoing basis, and may be suspended or removed if they don't comply.
Vendors must update order statuses (Processing → Shipped → Delivered) and provide tracking numbers. Service providers manage bookings through Accept → In progress → Completed.
